After a sedate race in the Netherlands, we move across land for the last race of the season in Europe, to Monza, the home of the Italian Grand Prix.

A new favourite

For the first time in ages, we have a new favourite to win the race. Lando Norris, 11/10 and it is difficult to look beyond the flying Brit but Monza has thrown up some random winners in the past, Daniel Riccardo in the McLaren a few years ago, and Pierre Gasly they year before that, in 2020, in what was then an Alpha Tauri.

Another interesting stat from Monza is that the last pole sitter to win the race was Hamilton all the way back in 2017. Verstappen has won the last 2 races at Monza, starting from 2nd on the grid both times.

Ferrari fever

So, Lando for the win BUT a random shout, this is the home of Ferrari, supported by the famous Tifosi, and they had a good showing with their upgrades in Zandvoort. Qualifying wasn’t that great, but the race pace was good. Nobody was close to the front two, but LeClerc finished 3rd, and Sainz finished 5th after starting 10th. LeClerc is 12/1 to win, it could be worth a small stake.

As mentioned, we have random winners here quite recently.

LeClerc is 7/4 in many places to finish on the podium and that is an interesting play. He finished 4th last season. Teammate Sainz, who was pole last season, came 3rd, he is 3/1 to finish on the podium and I would definitely have a look at that.

Wide Williams

One final shout for me is Alex Albon in the Williams to finish in the points, which is throwing up some random prices. It’s odds on in some places, EVS in others and 5/2 at BetMGM. Albon qualified 8th in Zandvoort but was penalised for the floor of the car being too wide, which was fixed with some sandpaper, welcome to the weird and wonderful world of F1, but that Williams is quick and finished 7th last year at Monza. So, Albon, 5/2 to finish in the top 10.

Yes, please. Just make sure the car is not too wide this time.

Good luck with all of your bets for the Italian Grand Prix and please gamble responsibly.
