I'm back ahead of Week 2 of the AFL Finals. Week 1 completed and so was Tips of the Week with all three of my picks landing. Geelong Cats over Port Adelaide, Hawthorn Hawks over Western Bulldogs and the Sydney Swans over the Greater Western Sydney Giants. That got us a lovely treble at 8/1.

Week 2 in the AFL Finals

Just two games and the loser goes home and begins preparation for 2025. That's right, the loser of these two games will be eliminated from the competition.

Port Adelaide v Hawthorn Hawks

Port Adelaide were absolutely smashed by 84 points by my Geelong Cats in front of 50,000 at Adelaide Oval, including myself. 84 points! Imagine Manchester United losing 10-0 to Liverpool. That'd be something to see. So sometimes it's worth going heart over head.

Hawthorn Hawks are on an amazing run and, as we pointed out, they also had no trouble defeating the Western Bulldogs in front of a staggering 96,000 at the MCG. Unbelievable. Hawthorn Hawks are the favourites despite having to travel to Adelaide in front of another potentially 50,000 crowd. But as we know, they are the in-form team coming into the finals and they start favourites at 31/50 compared to Port Adelaide at 13/10.

Greater Western Sydney Giants v Brisbane Lions

GWS led basically all game against the Sydney Swans in Week 1 and my treble was looking a little bit shaky. However, a late Isaac Heeney goal put the Swans in front with two minutes remaining and they won by six points. What an amazing quarter and what an amazing player Isaac Heeney is.

Brisbane Lions played Carlton Blues and this was pretty disappointing. This game was over at half time because Brisbane were up 60-0. Though a good comeback by the Blues put some respectability on the scoreboard as they put up 65 points in the second half of the game, however, Brisbane still won by 28 points.

Though it won't be played at the SCG, the Giants will play their home final in Western Sydney, the reason they are slight favourites against a Brisbane Lions team that has a lot of firepower in their forward line. Very tight odds but GWS are slight favourites at 3/4 with Brisbane at 11/10.

Luke's 2024 AFL Finals Tips - Toby Greene the play

So, my tips of the week. Let's go back to Sydney and GWS versus Brisbane Lions. This is the same game treble.

I'm with Greater Western Sydney to win and it's Uncle Toby's time. Toby Greene, to kick two or more goals and also Toby Greene to also have 15 or more touches.

Put those three elements together and it's a 15/4 same-game treble.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.
