The top eight teams for the AFL Finals are locked in and start on Thursday. Our Aussie AFL correspondent Luke Hodge finds a tasty treble.
Port Adelaide Power v Geelong Cats
The regular season has finished, the top eight have qualified and four matches will be played this week, starting with Port Adelaide Power versus the Geelong Cats from Geelong, Victoria. This game will be played at the beautiful Adelaide Oval in front of 45,000-plus fans.
Power had won six straight matches heading into the final finishing second in the regular season of the ladder. The Cats come into this match also in good form winning five of the last six games finishing third in the AFL regular season ladder. The odds have Power as warm-up favourites at Adelaide Oval and rightly so with 1/2 with Geelong the underdogs at 13/8.
Western Bulldogs v Hawthorn
On Friday night we have the Western Bulldogs from Melbourne versus the Hawthorne Hawks, also from Melbourne.
A huge crowd of 75,000-plus is expected to turn out at the MCG. Hawthorne come into this game in red hot winning form, winning an impressive 11 out of the last 13 games.
Can you believe it? They only won one out of the first six games at the start of the season and then went on to win 11 out of the last 13. Impressive.
The Bulldogs also have good form behind them winning the last six of the last seven games.
Amazingly Western Bulldogs are the favourite at 4/5 while Hawthorn are 11/10 underdogs.
Sydney Swans v GWS Giants
Saturday afternoon and Sydney Swans take on the Great and Western Sydney Giants at the Sydney Cricket Ground known as the SCG. The Sydney Swans are the best team in the competition finishing first on the AFL regular season ladder and they are the favourites for the 2024 AFL Premiership.
On the other side of Sydney the Giants come in winning five of the last four games and do have an advantage of not travelling in this final. However on the plus side for the Sydney Swans they have won nine out of their last 11 games at the SCG making it a fortress.
Sydney will be the favourites at 8 /13 while GWS are 13/10 underdogs.
Brisbane Lions v Carlton Blues
In the last game of the round of finals on Saturday night we'll see the Brisbane Lions from Queensland be huge favourites against the Carlton Blues from Melbourne at the Gabba in Brisbane. The Gabba has not been a happy hunting ground for the Blues - they've only won their last one game out of the last nine matches there. Brisbane are the huge favourite at 3/10n while Carlton are 11/4 outsiders.

Geelong - maybe I'm following my heart over my head as a die-hard Cats fan but I think they can get the job done. Hawthorne Hawks are an absolute steal at 11/10 and Sydney to get it done against the Western Sydney Giants bring us a combined odds treble of 7.95 /1.
