All eyes drop to the fight for second in with Wrexham knowing that Wycombe are breathing down their necks. David Easson has the League One betting preview for Good Friday on a vital weekend.

With Birmingham champions – and having lost at Wembley last weekend – their season can meander towards the Championship and we must look below them to the Wrexham-Wycombe drama. Which side will sneak into that final automatic spot and could they both miss out with an Easter turnaround more shocking than when they first rolled away that stone?
Well Wrexham should be fine on Friday facing Bristol Rovers who are plummeting downwards and heading for League Two thanks to a run of one away win in 14 and 1 point from 8 away matches, amongst several other terrible stats. Wrexham have stumbled on the road as well but at home they have won four n a row, conceding precisely zero goals in the last 5. In fact they’ve kept 8 clean sheets out of 10 and they should take this to nil once again. That’s 21/20
Wycombe are now just behind Wrexham but Stockport are lurking behind both of them and 2 wins over the weekend would put the Hatters in contention for 2nd – and they play Wycombe on the last day of the season in a fortnight. They play a Peterborough side who have just won at Wembley again and are safe in mid-table again after a scare with a relegation fight. Stockport will just want this more – but that won’t stop Peterborough getting involved in the goals. Stockport and over 2.5 goals is 2/1.
Finally I’m looking at a side who have precisely nothing to play for but Wigan go to Shrewsbury knowing they will send the Shrews down if they gain any kind of point and Ryan Lowe may not have picked up a win as manager yet but he’s found some form and some excellent points against Wrexham and Orient. They are 6/5 to beat a side that has picked up one point at home in their last 7.
That’s a 12.5/1 treble with Betfred.
