James Buttler of the Cricket Badger Podcast looks ahead to the third Australia v India Test match and finds the best bets in Brisbane from Saturday morning.
1-1 between Australia and India heading to The Gabba, so let's see if we can find some good bets in what's become a very big series. This one is bubbling up into an absolute classic.
Which nation triumphs at The Gabba?
Let's start with the outrights. India won the first test comfortably. Australia bounced back to win the second and all to play for heading to the Gabba. Whoever wins there really does take the ascendancy into the final two games of the five-match series. India 19/10, Australia 8/13 and the draw is 14/1.
From what I gather, it's going to be a bouncy fast track. Both sides have very good bowlers, probably better in the bowling departments than the batting department. India at 19/10, I think is a really good play here.
We'll come on to Jaspit Bumrah later but he leads their line. He's the number one test match ranked bowler in the world. Bumrah to lead India to victory 19/10.
Australia looking to Head to repeat Adelaide heroics
Top home batter market and I think we can discount Steven Smith at 7/2 and Marnus Labuschagne at 5/1 is equally out of form. That doesn't leave you with that many prospects.
Travis Head was the star on his home ground at Adelaide. He's 4/1 to be the top Aussie bat. I'm going to take him again.
Jaiswal is a Rolls Royce of a cricketer
Top Indian batter? I really fancy Yashasvi Jaiswal. The youngster at 9/2 opens the batting and if he can get in, get past those first few overs, he has a real appetite for runs.
Boom Boom Bumrah
That takes us back to Jaspit Bumrah, who is an absolute star. Bumrah was incredible in the first Test and he's 17/10 to be the top away bowler, to take the most wickets for India at the Gabba. But let's move down to the price boosts and I think this is an excellent one.
If you fancy India to win, you either take the 19/10 on India to win or you take this special with PaddyPower. Jaspit Bumrah to be named player of the match. India probably have to win to make that happen. But Bumrah to be player of the match is 12/1.
I think that is a really good play as they head to a track that should be, that should suit him down to the ground.
With the series level at one apiece with three matches to play, this is a crucial mid-series test and I do fancy India to win it.
However you bet, gamble responsibly and enjoy the sport this weekend.
