Betcave: Horse Racing "Bet of the Day"

Betcave's Stat Of The Day for Wednesday, January 15th in association with Platinum Racing.

Wednesdays stat comes in the form of trainer Sam Thomas. He has a 26% strike rate in novice hurdles this season, that's 15 winners from 58 runners!

Betcave: Bet of the Day

What's more impressive is if you whacked £10 on all 58 horses, you'd be leaving with £110 profit. One horse meets this criteria this Wednesday is called PALCIO runs in the 1:15 at Hereford.

Now I don't normally come on here and give shorties away for free, but I wanted to make sure the first free stat that we gave away this week was a winner and I'm pretty confident that this one will go in for us.

At the time of recording, you can get 5/4, you might have to shop around a few different firms to go and get it, but you can get 5/4 And I'm pretty sure he's gonna go off odds on!

Value can come in all different shapes and sizes. Value can be a 50/1 shot going in, but this 5/4 to me looks good value, so go and grab it before it goes.

Looking at the horses credentials, he won at 20/1 at Chepstow on his hurdling debut before then flopping at Cheltenham near Christmas time in another novice hurdle, that was in a Class 3.

He drops back down to Class 4 today which he won in on debut, and that will definitely help his cause, he's been given a month to get over those exertions at Cheltenham and this is a much easier race. The horse has to carry 11st 10lb for winning in a novice already.

So does the second fave as well, who is around 6/4, its tight between them two in the market, but on Racing Post ratings if that's your bag, we do have 8lb in hand of the second fav and a ton more in hand of the rest of the field.

The horse flopped at Cheltenham on good to soft ground, he's back on soft ground tomorrow & that will definitely help his cause as well, as that's the ground he won on at Chepstow. Now the horse does like to front run, he can sit prominently as well.

Hereford does have quite a big front running/prominent running track bias & Sam Thomas always likes his runners to be in that sort of first three running around all sorts of tracks.

He's always got his string running prominently and I'm pretty confident that Dylan Johnston is going to bounce out, try and make all the running tomorrow. If not, Plan B will be to sit second or third, no further back than that.

If we bounce out in front, i'll be very confident, we're gonna stay there & win the race.

I half mentioned there, Dylan Johnston takes a ride. He was on board when he won at Chepstow and he takes off a valuable 3lb which will aid our cause tomorrow. This horse ticks loads of boxes.

Yes, it's a short price, but if you can get that 5/4 I do believe that is good value for us And

hopefully we can start our free stats this week with a winner.

If you're following, stay lucky!

Please gamble responsibly.
