Looks like a cracking each way back to me and delving into the horses credentials, he's trained by Robert Cowell who is on fire at the moment!
He's got a 36% strike rate in the last two weeks. That's 4 winners are from his last 11 runners.
ABOVE won over course and distance at Newcastle the last day. That was just 11 days ago and interestingly, the horse has won after 6, 14 and 15 day breaks in the past, so the quick turnaround shouldn't be an issue for this sprinter.
Amazingly, that was this old boy's first ever visit to Newcastle. 1-1 over course and distance at a track like Newcastle will always read well.
Make no mistake, this is a typical Newcastle competitive five furlong sprint. He only went up a few pounds for that latest win, and a rating of 75 could really underestimate this horse if Robert Cowell has him back to his best.
Back in the day, he was winning class 2 events off ratings of 94. So connections could have some good fun with this horse on the AW. A rating of 75 and a top rating of 94, means there's loads of room here for this sprinter to go and rack up a sequence.
We're drawn in stall 5, which should give us options and it looks like the front runners are drawn in stall 7 and 8.
So I'd expect Billy Loughane, who gets the leg up on this horse to just sit in behind the leaders and look to pounce late. Hopefully we can get your weekend kick started with a nice winner at Newcastle on Saturday night & put a few quid back in your pocket!
