Last weekend, the goal scorer bet landed, but the treble just fell short. My team, pesky Leeds United, let us down. It's not been a great start by them, so we'll steer clear this week!

Bristol City v Millwall

I think the home advantage will be key for Bristol City, as they host the Lions at Ashton Gate.

The Robins, they're unbeaten in their last five home matches, winning four and conceding just once in that period. They picked up a point in their 1-1 draw at Hull last weekend, whereas Millwall lost 3-2 at home to Watford.

Millwall haven't kept a clean sheet in six championship matches, and for me, this is pretty cut and dried. Bristol City are 11/10 to get the job done on Saturday afternoon.

Burnley v Cardiff City

The Championship football betting preview with Betting Radio

Cardiff lost 2-0 at home to Sunderland last weekend and face a tough test in their quest to bounce back, as they visit Turf Moor and face a Burnley side that is seeking a return to the Premier League, and started impressively with a 4-1 away win against fellow relegated side Luton Town.

Burnley are unbeaten in their last six matches against Cardiff City, with three wins and three draws, and it looks like Burnley mean business as they look to get promoted straight back to the Premier League. Burnley and over 2.5 match goals in this one is 6/5.

My goalscorer pick also comes in this match - Wilson Odebert for Burnley. He was on the scoresheet last weekend. He's 21/10 anytime to find the back of the net again on Saturday afternoon.

Plymouth v Hull City

Hull haven't kept a clean sheet in their last nine Championship matches. The Tigers drea 1-1 last weekend at home to Bristol City. Wayne Rooney's Plymouth managerial debut was a disaster, as they lost 4-0 at Sheffield Wednesday, but Hull are not a great team to hang your betting hats on this season, not yet anyway.

With both defences really vulnerable, I'm taking the match result out of the equation and choosing the Both Teams To Score option at 6/10.

The Championship Treble

  • Bristol City at 11/10, Burnley to win an over 2.5 goals in the match at 6/5, and BTTS between Plymouth and Hull at 6/10 gets us a treble of 6.22/1 treble with William Hill.

  • Wilson Odebert to score this weekend for Burnley is 21/10 anytime.

Good luck with all your bets, gamble responsibly, and I'll see you again ahead of next weekend.
