It's all about goals and mainly ones from Chelsea according to James Buttler as he looks ahead to Thursday's Premier League action at Stamford Bridge.

CHELSEA V TOTTENHAM BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Chelsea will look to solidify their top-four position when they host struggling Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. Despite mixed Premier League form recently (W3, L3), the Blues remain fourth, holding off challengers thanks to rivals like Manchester City and Newcastle suffering similar inconsistencies.

Chelsea’s home form has been their saving grace, winning their last four league matches at Stamford Bridge. They’ve dominated this fixture historically, claiming nine wins from their last 12 Premier League encounters against Tottenham (D2, L1). Notably, Chelsea have won their last three meetings with Spurs by a convincing 10-4 aggregate score.

Premier League betting tips and previews

Tottenham’s season has been largely disappointing. Sitting far adrift from the top six, their league campaign looks set for a mid-table finish. Their London derby record is equally concerning, earning just ten points from nine such matches (W3, D1, L5). Ange Postecoglou faces pressure to deliver in the Europa League, but he’ll also be wary of becoming the first Spurs boss to lose his first four league games against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min’s poor record against Chelsea (three goals in 20 games) suggests caution when betting on him to find the net. But don't discount Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella to score anytime as all five of his goals this season have come at Stamford Bridge.

From a betting perspective, Chelsea’s strong home form and dominance over Spurs make them clear favourites. So, i'm backing Chelsea to win with over 2.5 goals, especially given the goal-heavy nature of recent encounters.
