Gavin Puszczalowskyi looks at the Friday night game in League 2.
Friday night sees two teams with very little to separate them in league position and league form go head to head in deepest Gloucestershire with Cheltenham Town hosting Tranmere Rovers.
It's 17th v 19th in League position, 18 points against 17 points, 12th in the current form table at home to 16th.
And, with very little to seperate the two teams, it makes sense to back the draw at 12/5 at Betgoodwin, and that is exactly what I am doing.
Cheltenham have only won 1 of their last 5 home games, and they have conceded first in 4 of their last 5 home games, too, but they have drawn their last 2 games at home, both 1-1. Tranmere have only lost 1 of their last 3 on the road, and have managed to score in all 3. So this will not be 0-0. Famous last words.
When these teams play there does tend to be goals, and Tranmere will be hurting from losing 4-0 at Cheltenham last season, and 3-0 at home to them, a 7-0 aggregate white-washing, but with both these teams wallowing at the wrong end of the table, and both with a negative goal difference, I'm not expecting a goal-laden, entertaining, belting game.
I'm not just going for a draw, I'm going for a 1-1, 11/2 at Star Sports.
