The ICC Champions Trophy gets underway on 19 February, but what do you need to know?
9 - 2025 is the ninth edition
2017 - Pakistan are the defending champions after beating India in the final eight years ago
2021 - Covid meant the 2021 event was cancelled

2 disappointments - England have never won the Champions Trophy, but were beaten finalists in both 2004 and 2013
50 overs - It’s played in the One Day International format of 50-overs-a-side
18 days - It is played over just 18 days with the final on 9 March
8 nations - The eight nations qualified as the top eight in the last 50-over World Cup
2 venues - India have refused to travel to play in Pakistan due to political reasons and will be based and play in Dubai. That means the final venue is yet to be confirmed. If India qualify it will be played in Dubai, if not it will be held in Lahore
2 groups - Teams are split into two groups with the top two progressing to the semi-finals
2 wins - India and Australia have won the most titles with two each
• Group A includes Bangladesh, India, New Zealand and Pakistan
• Group B includes Afghanistan, Australia, England and South Africa
