My name is Gavin Puszczalowskyi and I am looking at the best bets for this weekends games in League 2.
Sometimes you have weeks where you have to dig around to find value, and sometimes you have weeks where it's quite easy to find, and hopefully this is one of those weeks.
Port Vale
Case in point. The best team in the division are Port Vale. In form, winning games, and top of the table, 2 points clear of Walsall in 2nd and 4 points clear of Notts County in 3rd. And Port Vale are at home this weekend and odds against to win. A good starting point for the treble.
And it gets better. Vale have won their last 4 games straight in the league, home and away, and if you focus on just their home form, they have won 3 of their last 4 games scoring 7 goals in those 4 games. They face an AFC Wimbledon side who are good at home and not so good away from home. The Dons have played 5 away games in the league so far and have failed to score a goal in 4 of those games. They have only score 1 goal on their travels all season in League 2.
So, Port Vale, to win, 23/20 at Hills, yes, please.
Crewe
Not too far away from Burslem in Stoke, the home of Port Vale is Crewe, and they are at home to a very hot and cold Tranmere side. Crewe are fairly solid at home and very tight at the back. They have won 3 of their last 4 games at home and have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 home games. It is a tough place to go and Tranmere are currently 18th and are coming off the back of a very poor performance at home in a defeat to Grimsby Town. Tranmere have only won 1 of their last 8 league games, and while they have drawn their last 2 away games, they have not gone undefeated in 3 consecutive away games in League 2 since 2022.
I think Crewe, who have won every one of their last 4 league games against Tranmere will be too strong. Crewe to win, 7/5, again at Hills is a yes.
Walsall
And if you want to be entertained with lots of goals, and who doesn't, then Walsall are the team for you. Recently they have won 4-0, lost 6-2, drawn 2-2, and won their last 2 games 4-1 and 3-1. All of these are anytime goalscorer shouts for Walsall:
Nathan Lowe: 2/1
Jamille Matt: 2/1
Jamie Jellis: 9/2
These three players have been scoring plenty for Walsall recently, and they travel to take on an improving but still placed in 21st Accrington side. Walsall are a play to win at 21/20, but I'm going to go for over 3.5 goals in the game at 2/1 at Bet365.
My treble for this weekend is Port Vale, 23/20, to win at home to AFC Wimbledon, Crewe to win at home to Tranmere at 7/5, and a goal-fest between Accrington and Walsall with over 3.5 goals at 2/1. A treble of 15/1
Good luck with with your bets and please gamble responsibly.
