League 2 Midweek PreviewGavin Puszczalowskyi

My first pick is going to be a shining example of how anybody in League 2 can really beat anybody on their day and you should not be swayed by league position alone when choosing your picks, you need to have a much closer look at the current form and who is scoring goals and winning games.

I have done just that with bottom of the league Morecambe, and I am backing them to win at Tranmere.

The first thing to consider is Morecambe's away form. At home, Morecambe have taken 3 points from their last 15. Away from home, they have taken 9 from 12. In their last 5 games at home, Morecambe have scored 5 in 5, away from home, they have scored 5 in 2. If Morecambe could play away every week they would not be bottom. Add to the mix that Tranmere are not good at home, they have lost 3 in 4 and failed to score in any of their defeats, Morecambe are a tempting price at 10/3 at Bet365 to win, and I am backing it.

Tranmere are odds on to win, and they have only scored 4 goals in 8 home games in League 2. I am not touching that with a barge pole. Morecambe too big and a play to win.

In this frantic time of the season where teams are seemingly playing every other day, MK Dons have had their feet up and relaxing due to a combination of games being postponed due to the bad weather and to being knocked out of the FA Cup in Round 1.

Chesterfield have played 2 games since MK Dons last played on the 16th of November, and it is the Spireites who make the trip south to take on the best side on current form in League 2.

MK Dons are the most consistent side at present with 5 wins out of their last 5. Nobody is even close to that kind of form, and I'm backing the run to continue against a misfiring inconsistent Chesterfield side who are slipping down to midtable.

MK Dons score plenty, 14 in their last 5 league games, and Chesterfield have bagged 8 in their last 5, so I am predicting goals in this one. MK Dons are 6/4 to win, and that is fine, but let's go for MK Dons to win and over 2.5 goals in the game, 27/10 at MGM Bet.

And to complete the treble, I am looking at a fixture on Wednesday night and I am tipping the draw masters to continue drawing. Fleetwood at home to Doncaster.

I tipped Fleetwood to draw at home to Colchester at the weekend, and they did just that, 0-0. So I am going back in.

Fleetwood have drawn 3 of their last 4 games at home with Doncaster drawing their last 3 games in League 2. Doncaster had a tough tie in the FA Cup at Kettering which, after a draw in 90 mins, was won by Rovers in extra-time, so they maybe a little leggy going into this game.

These teams last played each other in 2022, and it ended a draw. The signs are there.

Fleetwood v Doncaster. Draw. 13/5 at Quinnbet

My picks for League 2 this week. Morecambe to win at Tranmere at 10/3. MK Dons to win and over 2.5 goals against Chesterfield at 27/10, and a draw between Fleetwood v Doncaster at 13/5. A treble that comes in around 57/1

Enjoy the football, good luck with your bets and please gamble responsibly.
