One More Shot for the Belgian Bullet: Welsh Open Snooker Tournament Betting Preview

Betcave

Monday sees the World Snooker Tour make its annual visit to the most

established Home Nations event, the Welsh Open and at Betcave and on

Betting Radio, former professional Craig Edwards @EdwardsTips_ brings his

best bets.

Stick with Luca and Hossein for one more week.

Why Luca loves Wales?

No luck with Luca Brecel in the Masters and German Masters but we have not

deserted him this week for the Welsh Open as there is much promise in everything

he is doing.

Historically, the Welsh Open is an event that Brecel likes with several deep runs to

Quarter and Semi-finals.

Interestingly, the year of Covid, the Scottish Open was held at the Venue Cymru, yes, I know that sounds crazy but that was a pivotal year that no one will ever forget.

Least of all Luca Brecel who won the event at the Llandudno site, and indeed last years poor season saw his best week here.

So, with lots in his favour this week we are siding once again with Luca Brecel to win

the Welsh Open

Betcave and Betting Radio Welsh Open pick: Luca Brecel 25/1 Ladbrokes (18/1 minimum)

Hossein saves his best for the Valleys

Yes, we backed Hossein Vafaei in the German Masters and unfortunately, he

was denied a visa, something that has afflicted the Iranian before and happily,

all firms bar, William Hill kindly refunded stakes to punters.

He has no such problems when visiting Wales and in fact, historically performs well

in the Valleys. Twice the thirty-year-old has reached the semi finals here in 2019

and 2022 so with his upturn in form at the Championship League that I discussed for

the German Masters, Vafaei has a very solid betting profile.

That heady mix of travelling to your favourite tournament combined with good form is

a mix we cannot ignore about Hossein Vafaei this week.

Betcave and Betting Radio Welsh Open pick: Hossein Vafaei each-way 66/1 Ladbrokes (40/1 minimum)
