Dave Tindall looks ahead to the third weekend of Premier League action and picks out a goalscorer treble.
We weren’t a million miles away with last week’s 55/1 Premier League treble.
Newcastle drew with Bournemouth at 29/10 - tick. But Karou Mitoma assisted rather than scored for Brighton while Erling Haaland scored the second goal of the game rather than the opener after Ipswich somehow took the lead at the Etihad.
This week, we’ll try something at a shorter price but with a great chance of landing.
And it’s a goalscorer treble.
HAALAND TO HURT HAMMERS AGAIN
First up, we’ll head back to that man Haaland to score anytime at West Ham.
It’s 8/11 and that’s just fine.
The Striking Viking has netted three times in his two visits to the London Stadium, a brace two season ago and another in last term’s 3-1 win.
He’s already leading the goalscoring charts with four after a hat-trick against Ipswich and he looks razor sharp after sitting out the Euros.
PALMER THE PICK AGAINST PALACE
To Sunday for the other two goalscorer bets and we’ll start with Cole Palmer to score for Chelsea at home to Crystal Palace.
Palmer netted last week before spending the rest of the game setting up goals for Noni Madueke as Chelsea walloped Wolves 6-2.
That’s all good - as is the fact that Palmer scored the vast majority of his Premier League goals - 16 in all - at Stamford Bridge last season.
Palace don’t look as strong at the back after losing Joachim Andersen and Chelsea should be full of confidence after last week.
Palmer to score is 6/5.
SALAH TO SHINE AGAIN AT OLD TRAFFORD
Finally, to Old Trafford and the showdown between bitter rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
Mo Salah has an incredible record against United, scoring 14 goals in his last 11 appearances against them.
He’s scored six times in his last four starts at Old Trafford so let’s pencil him in for another at 5/4. Salah, of course, has netted in both games so far for Arne Slot’s side this season.
DAVE'S BEST BETS FOR MATCHDAY 3
So, here’s the treble: Erling Haaland to score against West Ham, Cole Palmer to net at home to Crystal Palace and Mo Salah to score yet again against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
That pays 15/2 with bet365, a good price for what seem a trio of obvious outcomes.
Good luck with your Premier League bets this weekend and please gamble responsibly.
