PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

After landing trebles of 14/1 and 8/1 on the last two Premier League Saturdays, James Buttler is back to find the best bets again.

Arsenal v Southampton

Arsenal remain unbeaten this season and after last weekend’s slightly tougher than expected 4-2 win over Southampton they beat PSG 2-0 in the Champions League in midweek. Mike Arteta, and his lego hair, is very happy.

Arsenal haven’t lost a top-flight home H2H against Southampton since 1987 (W19, D9). TPau were number one in the charts with ‘China In Your Hand’. I can’t see Arteta dropping the crockery this weekend, but we all know his dreams are of the title and a win over Southampton may take the Gunners top, if Liverpool slip up against Crystal Palace in the lunchtime kick-off.

After landing trebles of 14/1 and 8/1 on the last two Premier League Saturdays, James Buttler is back to find the best bets again.

Arsenal are 40 games unbeaten against promoted sides at the Emirates Stadium, winning 35 of them, and Southampton don’t end that run. I don’t know about you, but the 1/7 on an Arsenal win doesn’t excite!

Southampton are 19th, yet to win this league season, boss Russell Martin expressed his displeasure after the 3-1 away defeat to Bournemouth, and I don’t think there are three worse sides in this season’s Premier League. It could be a long season!

So, how do we play Arsenal? Kai Havertz has scored in each of their 3 home matches so far this season, so an Arsenal win with Havertz bagging again and over 3.5 match goals with home confidence riding high is 2/1 as BetBuilder with William Hill. For the purposes of our treble, I’m taking Havertz anytime at 10/11.

Man City v Fulham

Here’s a stat for you - Man City have won and scored a penalty in each of the last six Premier League H2Hs against Fulham. Erling Haaland is the hosts penalty taker, so that’s one for him and the way he’s been playing this season, with 10 goals in 6 matches, it’s not much of a stretch to see him bagging at least a brace.

City have scored at least 2 goals in their last 7 home matches and, despite Fulham’s decent defence, they should win this one comfortably. Haaland to score 2 or more is 9/5.

Brentford v Wolves

Five of Brentford’s six Premier League matches this term have seen both teams score, with all six also featuring at least one first-half goal. And I’m taking the outrights out of the equation again in this one and putting up Bryan Mbeumo to score again. He’s 5 in 6 this season and is rising to the challenge of filling the gap Ivan Toney has left up top. Mbeumo to score again against rock bottom Wolves is 6/5.

James' Premier League Tips

  • Arsenal win, Havertz to score, over 3.5 match goals as a 2/1 BetBuilder with William Hill

  • Kai Havertz to score anytime at 10/11

  • Erling Haaland to score 2 or more at 9/5

  • Bryan Mbeumo to score anytime at 6/5

Roll those scorer picks into a treble and it’s 17.5/1 with William Hill.
