19-01-2025 - Ipswich v Man City Sunday preview

Ipswich v Man City

The big news on Friday was that Erling Haaland had signed a mammoth new contract that will make him a City player until 2034. Wow, that’s a long time.

Although he hasn’t been in his usual goalscoring form over the last few months, the giant Norwegian still has three goals in his last three games.

He scored a hat-trick against Ipswich earlier this season and can get on the scoresheet again here.

It’s short odds but let’s bump things up by making a Haaland goal part of a Bet Builder.

Phil Foden has been way below par this season - as have many City players - but he finally seems to be hitting his stride.

A brace away to Brentford on Tuesday made it four goals from his last five Premier League games, more than doubling his tally for the season.

Let’s not forget Foden plundered 27 goals for City in all competitions last season. Yep, he knows how top put them away.

Foden to score here is the standout single bet at 11/5 but I’ll also add him to the Bet Builder.

The final leg is simply Both teams to Score.

City still look vulnerable at the back and let’s not forget that Ipswich took the lead at the Etihad earlier this season before Pep Guardiola’s men struck back to win 4-1.

So, that Bet Builder. Haaland to score, Foden to score and Both teams to Score pays an attractive 7/1.

Dave’s Premier League Sunday best bets

Phil Foden to score anytime at 9/4

Foden to score anytime, Erling Haaland to score anytime and BTTS at 7/1

Enjoy the game - this one is a 4.30pm kick-off - good luck with your bets and please do gamble responsibly
