Everton v Arsenal

EVERTON V ARSENAL BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Everton will be looking to bounce back after their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday, their first loss in ten Premier League outings (W4, D5). But, they remain winless in their last five matches (D4, L1), and their upcoming fixtures are daunting, with four straight games against top-six opposition. Despite this, Everton have held their own against elite teams this season, suffering only two defeats from seven matches against the top six (D5).

Premier League betting preview and tips

Arsenal arrive at Goodison Park determined to keep their slim title hopes alive. Despite back-to-back wins against Chelsea and Fulham, the Gunners remain 12 points adrift of Liverpool with just eight games remaining. Their form on Merseyside is woeful, with only three wins from their last 26 trips to Everton and Liverpool (D10, L13). Yet, Mikel Arteta’s side boasts the best away record in the league since the start of 2024.

Key players to watch include Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, returning from injury and still the club’s joint-top scorer (6 goals), and Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard, who has contributed five goals in his last seven meetings with Everton.

My bet is Arsenal to win but I’m expecting Everton to be tough to break down. Arsenal and Under 2.5 match goals is value at 9/4 with Coral.

Crystal Palace v Brighton

CRYSTAL PALACE V BRIGHTON BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Crystal Palace will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1-1 draw against bottom-placed Southampton. That result snapped a five-match winning streak across all competitions, but rescuing a late point may boost morale.

Intriguingly, the last five meetings between these sides at Selhurst Park have all ended 1-1, a record in English top-flight history. Palace will be aiming to maintain that pattern, especially after their 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture. Achieving their first top-flight double over Brighton since 1932/33 could serve as added motivation.

Brighton, however, are licking their wounds after back-to-back setbacks. An FA Cup quarter-final exit to Nottingham Forest on penalties was followed by a crushing 3-0 league defeat to Aston Villa. Despite this, the Seagulls have been strong on the road in 2025, winning five of their last seven away matches (D1, L1).

Palace’s Ismaïla Sarr, who scored twice and assisted once in the reverse fixture, is worth a look to score again, but why fight history? Another 1-1 draw could easily happen again and 13/2 with Bet365 is worth a nibble.

Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest

ASTON VILLA V NOTTS FOREST BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Aston Villa are riding high, with a remarkable six-game winning streak propelling them to the Champions League quarter-finals, the FA Cup semi-finals, and firmly into the Premier League's European spots conversation. Their recent 3-0 away win over Brighton marked their third successive victory by that scoreline and their fourth straight clean sheet.

Unai Emery’s men are particularly formidable at Villa Park, where they are unbeaten in their last 16 home games across all competitions (W10, D6). With this strong home record, Villa will be confident against Nottingham Forest, having not lost to them in their last eight meetings at Villa Park.

Forest, however, are not to be underestimated. They claimed a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture and are chasing their first league double over Villa since 1984/85. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side has also been in excellent form, winning five straight games, including a vital 1-0 triumph over Manchester United. Their away record is impressive too, with 12 wins from their last 19 road trips (D2, L5).

Players to watch include Marco Asensio, who has netted a brace in each of his last three appearances at Villa Park. Meanwhile, Anthony Elanga, who scored the late winner in the reverse fixture, has a knack for netting late goals, scoring

Villa to win with an Asensio goal is 5/1 with Bet365.
