OXFORD V SHEFFIELD UTD BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Sheffield United will look to strengthen their position at the top of the Championship table when they visit relegation-threatened Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday. The Blades have been in scintillating form, winning four and drawing one of their last five league matches, including a dominant 3-1 victory over Coventry City last time out. Their away form is particularly impressive, with six consecutive wins on the road, making them the best-performing away side in the division.

James Buttler finds a 19/1 double involving the Blades and the Clarets on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

Oxford United, meanwhile, are battling to avoid relegation and currently sit just two points above the drop zone. They have struggled for consistency, losing three of their last four matches and winning only once in their last nine league games. Their away record is among the worst in the league, but their form at home offers a glimmer of hope.

The U’s also face a significant challenge in their recent head-to-head history with Sheffield United, having lost their last five encounters with the Blades. Injuries remain a concern for Oxford, particularly with doubts surrounding Elliott Moore, Joe Bennett, and Greg Leigh.

Given the Blades’ formidable away record and Oxford’s poor form, backing the visitors to secure another comfortable victory appears a strong option. A 10/11 pick on an away win is not a bad option, but my tip is Sheffield United to win ‘to nil’ at 2/1 with BetVictor to ring out a bit more of a return.

Coventry City v Burnley

COVENTRY V BURNLEY BETTING PREVIEWJames Buttler

Coventry City host Burnley at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday in a crucial Championship clash. The Sky Blues, led by Frank Lampard, aim to rebound from a 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United, but they'll face a stern test against promotion-chasing Burnley.

Coventry have enjoyed a resurgence under Lampard, sitting fifth in the table with 10 wins from their last 13 league outings. Haji Wright continues to impress, with 10 goals in 20 appearances, while Jack Rudoni’s creative form has been pivotal. However, injuries could be a concern, with goalkeeper Oliver Dovin ruled out for the season and Brandon Thomas-Asante still sidelined.

Burnley, under Scott Parker, are laser-focused on securing automatic promotion. Their recent 1-0 victory over Bristol City showcased their defensive prowess, with James Trafford securing their 28th clean sheet of the campaign. The Clarets have also proven effective away from home, collecting 39 points from 19 matches. Josh Brownhill is in fine form, scoring in both of Burnley’s away wins in March.

Despite Coventry’s solid home form, Burnley’s defensive resilience and clinical away record suggest this will be a close affair. The draw is 11/5, but I’m taking a 1-1 correct score as my tip at 11/2 with AK Bets.

James’ Saturday Championship Double

The safer double of Sheffield United to win and the draw at Coventry is 5/1 with Coral. The bigger double of Sheffield United to win ‘to nil’ and 1-1 at Coventry is 18.5/1 with StarSports.
