Here is our League 2 Betting Preview for games on Saturday.
Walsall v Swindon Town
The runaway league leaders, Walsall, are at home to a resurgent Swindon Town. And as you can imagine, with 1st at home to 15th, Walsall are odds on favs to win, and we think that is too short.
Walsall are seven points clear at the top of the table, so why do we not fancy them?
In the current form guide, looking back over six games, Walsall are 12th, Swindon are 2nd. Walsall had taken nine points from 18 available. Swindon have taken 13 points. Even though they are the league leaders, they have won just two of the last eight games in the league. Swindon have really found form under Ian Holloway winning six of the last eight games, and Swindon have also been the highest scorers in the league of late.
Walsall are odds on to win. As we have mentioned, Swindon are a huge 4/1 to win, which is extremely tempting.
The home side though are unbeaten at home in the league since October so bear that in mind, so, we are playing the double chance Swindon or draw at 11/10 at 888sport.

MK Dons v Colchester United
Free-falling MK Dons were at home to Colchester. And from that introduction, you may already be thinking we're backing the away side to get something here, and you would be right. MK Dons are having a very forgettable season. They started out among the favorites for automatic promotion.
They are currently seventeenth, and from the last 30 points available, they have won just five. They have lost 12 of the last 15 league games.
Colchester, on the other hand, are unbeaten in the last eight league games and have lost just one of the last 10 away games. The draw is a big play in this one. Colchester have drawn 50% of their league games this season more than anyone else.
But with MK Dons losing so many of late, we fancy Colchester to win 17 to 10 at William Hill.
Tranmere Rovers v Port Vale
The big news in league two was the departure of Nigel Atkins as manager of Tranmere Rovers. A departure that came as no surprise to anyone. Tranmere are currently twenty second in the league, just two points up for the relegation zone, and they have won just one league game at home so far in 2025. Coach Andy Crosby takes charge this weekend for the visit of promotion chasing Port Vale.
After a run of no wins in eight, Vale have now won five of the last seven, drawing the other two. And they are three points off Doncaster in third, the final automatic promotion spot. But importantly for Port Vale, they do have two games in hand. You would expect Vale to be odds on to win, but they are not.

Maybe the departure of Adkins has boosted the price for Vale to win as it may seem a tougher game now at Prenton Park. But we're sticking with the wayside to win this one Vale to win 13 to 10 at Unibet.
Enjoy the football. Good luck with your bets, and please gamble responsibly.
