Swindon to storm to victory, again. Colchester to crush Chesterfield, Grimsby to torment Tranmere. The best bets for League 2

With plenty of games in League 2 on Tuesday night. Here's our League 2 betting preview.

Swindon Town v Salford City

Swindon host Salford on Tuesday night and there is one key stat that will instantly tell you which team we are backing.

Of the last 18 points available to be won, Swindon have won 13, Salford have won 5.

PREVIEW: Swindon v Salford

We tipped Swindon to win at the league leaders, Walsall, at the weekend, they were 4/1 to do so, we tipped the 11/10 double chance, Swindon or draw, and Swindon duly obliged with a 1-0 win. On current form, no one relishes a game against Swindon.

Salford are the epitome of League 2. Won 6 of their first 18 games in the league, then won 6 consecutive games, and recently they have won 2 of their last 10.

Swindon are winning games, Salford are not. It's that simple. Swindon are 7/5 at Paddy Power and that is our tip.

Colchester United v Chesterfield

Betting is sometimes relatively simple. Find a side in good form who are a good price to beat a side who are in bad form. And we have done that with Colchester at home to Chesterfield on Tuesday night.

PREVIEW: Colchester v Chesterfield

The one fear with Colchester is the draw. They have drawn a higher percentage of league games than any other side, but Colchester's recent form over 6 games has them 5th in the form table, Chesterfield are 15th, and that recent form for the home side has seen them rise above the away side in the table.

Chesterfield have lost 4 of their last 5 games and have not won away in the league in 2025.

Colchester are 7/5 to win this at William Hill, a side in good form at a good price, so that is our selection.

Grimsby Town v Tranmere Rovers

Normally on our League 2 betting preview, we look for selections that are better than EVS, that is the foundation stone of our bet, but we cannot ignore Grimsby, who are 19/20 to win at home to Tranmere Rovers who recently went separate ways with Nigel Adkins.

PREVIEW: Grimsby v Tranmere

Grimsby are the 2nd best side on current form, over the last 6 games, won 4, drawn 2, only Bradford City have been better. Tranmere are 22nd in the current form guide with no wins in 6. Only Morecambe and MK Dons have been worse.

But let's dig deeper to get a price better than EVS.

Tranmere have lost all of their last 10 away games in the league, hence why we cannot ignore Grimsby. All of Grimsby's last 5 wins at home have been over 2.5 goals in the game, Tranmere have conceded more than one goal in all of their last 9 away games.

Grimsby to win and over 2.5 goals in the game is 21/10 at bet365 and that is our tip.

Enjoy the football, good luck with your bets and always gamble responsibly
