Dave Tindall previews Friday's Nations League matches and has tips for the games featuring Wales, Germany and the Netherlands
All three matches kick off at 19:45
Iceland v Wales
Wales have made a promising start under new boss Craig Bellamy and have four points from their first two Nations League games.
The Dragons opened with a home 0-0 draw against Turkey and then won 2-1 away in Montenegro after two very early goals from Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson.
Now they travel to Iceland and this won’t be easy.
Iceland scored a famous 1-0 win over England at Wembley just prior to Euro 2024 and they have three wins and a draw in their last four home matches.
That said, the draw came against Luxembourg.
Overall, the 1-1 correct scoreline looks good here. Iceland are no mugs and a draw would build on Bellamy’s solid start. The 1-1 is 11/2.
Bellamy will be very aware of Brennan Johnson’s recent goalscoring heroics. The Spurs man has netted in each of his last six club games.
He’s also made a mark in this tournament previously with goals against the Netherlands and Belgium.
Back Johnson to score anytime at 18/5.
Bosnia-Herzegovina v Germany
Germany have started their campaign nicely enough with a 5-0 rout of Hungary and a 2-2 draw away to the Netherlands.
They should make it seven points out of nine away to Bosnia-Herzegovina even though the Germans have a few notable names missing such as Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala.
Die Mannschaft are just 2/7 for the win so I’ll try a different way in.
Florian Wirtz has two in his last three games for Germany and four in his last seven for Leverkusen.
Wirtz to score in a Germany win is 21/10.
Hungary v Netherlands
The Netherlands are Germany’s big rivals in Group A and they too should emerge with three points from a trip to out-of-form Hungary.
Ronald Koeman’s team are 4/6 but because they score freely, I’d prefer to back the Netherlands to win and Both teams to Score at 19/10.
Cody Gakpo has four in his last eight for the Dutch and has been used fairly lightly by Liverpool this season.
Back him for another goal in orange colours at 9/4.
