Here is a quick-tip betting preview for the upcoming Masters tournament at Augusta National. This tip is brought to you by golf tipster, Dave Tindall

THE MASTERS

A lot of the hype at Augusta this week will surround Rory McIlroy as he bids to win his first Masters and complete golf’s grand slam.

A green jacket would be an appropriate look for McIlroy - as it would for another Irishman, Shane Lowry.

And it’s Lowry who makes most appeal at 33/1 compared to Rory at just 13/2.

Lowry has a strong record at this level as shown by his Open win at Royal Portrush in 2019 and two sixth places in last season’s Majors.

Lowry also finished third at Augusta in 2022 and he has the ideal combination of stellar iron play and magical short game to make another title bid this week.

Lowry has three top 10s and a further pair of top 20s in his last six starts on the PGA Tour while he’s made the top 25 in four of the last five Masters.

If he holes his share of putts, the Ryder Cup star looks a great each-way bet at 33/1.

For a first-round leader bet, try Jordan Spieth at 45/1.

Spieth, the 2015 Masters winner, has led the way after 18 holes at Augusta three times previously so loves a fast start here.

He’s in good form too and can thrive from his mid-morning tee-time.

Enjoy the golf, good luck with your bets and please gamble responsibly
