Here is a quick-tip betting preview for the upcoming tournament on the PGA Tour. This tip is brought to you by golf tipster, Dave Tindall
THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
This week’s Players Championship in Florida offers the richest prize in golf with the winner banking a whopping $4.5million. Alright for some.
Host venue TPC Sawgrass is one of the game’s iconic golf courses - everyone knows the dreaded island green at 17 - although it’s a tough nut to crack.
Go through the records of all the top players down the years and you’ll find a real mixed bag of high finishes and missed cuts.
Scottie Scheffler has defied that trend by landing the last two editions of The Players Championship but he’s yet to win in 2025 and 5/1 for the hat-trick looks too short.

But at five times the price there’s another course specialist worth a bet and that's Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama.
While others have struggled for consistency on this tough par 72, Matsuyama has finished in the top eight in three of his last four visits.
He was also leading thanks to a first-round 63 when the tournament got abandoned in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
Already a winner this season, the 2021 Masters champion has a habit of capturing big events and he’s Dave Tindall’s bet at 25/1. Place your bet with Paddy Power as they offer a generous 10 each-way places.
There’s no DP World Tour event this week but Dave did have some success last week when his 35/1 tip Daniel Van Tonder landed the each-way money.
Hopefully Matsuyama can follow suit in Florida. Good luck with your bets on the Players Championship and please gamble responsibly.
