Here is a quick-tip betting preview, from golf tipster, Dave Tindall, for the Genesis Invitational.
THE GENESIS INVITATIONAL
Outright pick
The big guns, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, are out in force at this week’s Genesis Invitational in California although, first things first, note the change of venue.
Due to the wildfires in southern California, the tournament has been switched from Riviera Country Club in LA to Torrey Pines in San Diego.
Torrey is where Harris English won the recent Farmers Insurance Open so there’s plenty of course form to go at - both from last month and from previous years.

Jason Day will surely enjoy being back at Torrey Pines as he’s a real course horse, his CV showing two wins, a second, a third and three other top 10s on the lengthy South Course.
The Aussie’s putter looks to be heating up again and after third place at The American Express and 13th at Pebble Beach. Jason Day is Dave Tindall’s headline tip to win the event at a juicy 40/1 with bet365.
He looks better value than Scheffler at 5/1 and McIlroy at 8/1.
Each-way pick
With just 72 players teeing it up at this week’s Genesis Invitational, it should be easier to secure an each-way payout.
If you want to try someone at a crazy price - we’re talking 250/1 in places - try Jake Knapp.
The American is a late call-up to the event after Tiger Woods withdrew so Knapp will see this as a free hit.

Intriguingly, Knapp, a California native, says he grew up playing courses like Torrey Pines so he has a real level of comfort there.
And as proof he finished third at Torrey Pines in last year’s Farmers Insurance Open and a decent 32nd this year.
Knapp won on the PGA Tour last February so hopefully he can put in another big show a year on.
Perhaps the smart move is to take the 150/1 with Boylesports as they offer 10 each-way places.
Enjoy the golf, good luck with your bets and please gamble responsibly
