A Wimbledon Saturday Sixfold - Two Ways

Let's have a look at six matches on Saturday.

PICK 1: Barbara Krejcikova has already landed us an outside bet against Veronika Kudermetova in the first round. She takes on Jessica Bouzas-Maneiro and is 4/9 to win that one. The 31st seed played well in Birmingham recently to reach the quarter-finals on grass, so she’s my pick again.

PICK 2: Jelena Ostapenko, the 13th seed, takes on Bernarda Pera. It is 1-1 on the H2Hs and I wasn't sure whether to put Ostapenko into this acca as she can beat herself up sometimes and beat herself. But she's playing well at Wimbledon and she should win this one at 5/19.

PICK 3: Elena Rybakina, the 4th seed, takes on Caroline Wozniacki. She's 3/10 and is also carrying some early money to win this Wimbledon from the tournament preview. Rybakina has never played Wozniacki, who hasn't hit the heights of her early career. The Woz is now 91st in the world and I don't think she can trouble Rybakina.

PICK 4: Into the men's and Taylor Fritz, the 13th seed, takes on 24th seed Alejandro Tabillo. It is 2/9 for Fritz to win and I think he can go deep into the second week of this tournament. The big serving American leads the H2Hs with Tabillo by 2-0 and I don't see him going out here.

PICK 5: Novak Djokovic to beat Alexei Popyrin at 1/8. Djokovic was troubled by the Brit Fearnley in the last round, but he leads the H2Hs with Popyrin 2-0 and seems to be over his knee surgery. Djokovic is starting to look like a threat at Wimbledon and he’ll have too much for Popyrin.

PICK 6: Finally, Cam Norrie, the Brit, takes on Alexander Zverev. Zverev is 3/19 and leads the H2Hs by 5-2, but the pair have not met on grass before. The money will be on Zverev, the 4th seed, but Norrie will take a lot from that second round win over Jack Draper. His returning was absolutely superb and, if he can replicate that level against Zverev, the 5/1 on him isn't a ridiculous pick.

SO…. if you put Zverev as the 6th pick in the acca, you get 2.71/1. If you swap Zverev for Norrie at 5/1 it boosts it right the way up to 17.44/1. I'm going to play both at half-stakes.

Good luck with your bets. Gamble responsibly.

And I'll see you ahead of Sunday.
